For those that don't already know, four of the members at Shift Workspace (Spencer Wyatt, Andrea Walker, Jason Gilbert, and myself) have helped start a new co-working space at Filament Artists. It is at 2309 2nd Ave South. We are in the very early stages and it is a work in progress, but the space has a ton of promise. We will be having a meeting shortly to share our plans for the space and to get feedback from the community. Stay tuned!
We have a flexible workspace is woodlawn that has a fiber optic line, couches, conference room, desks, offices, kitchen, and possibly large meeting space. Email me for details. andrew@renovatebirmingham.com, 205-243-0342.

As many people know, Shift Workspace is set to close in Birmingham in the middle of May. For those of us that have been a part of Birmingham's coworking community, we have grown to understand and enjoy the many benefits of a coworking environment. Those things include but are not limited to a true sense of community, project collaboration, referrals, a flexible environment, and a lower cost of business operation.
